There are times when project teams might want to add hyperlinks or shortcuts to their Jira dashboards. This may be warranted when external sites are frequently accessed or as an alternative when native dashboards or gadgets do not support required views.

Step-by-step guide


Step
1Log in to your Jira homepage.

2If necessary, expand the sidebar on the left by clicking on the double arrows.
3Under Project Shortcuts, click Add link.

4Type in the Web address along with an appropriate Label.

5Click Add.
6Observe that the new shortcut appears under Project Shortcuts.

7Open the link that was just created in a new browser window.
8Verify that the page loads as expected.
