This will be used to grab screen shots for the word document supplied to prove 'readiness for release'. The word doc will need to be annotated for items that do not pass or were not tested.

Step-by-step guide

Use the following steps to create desired reports

  1. In JIRA/XRAY→Top Menu->Tests→XRay Reports
  2. Create the Test Plan report with overall results on each test showing pass/fail in each environment. Ideally, each test is passed in dev, deployed to pre-prod and passed in pre-prod prior to production release. There are occasions when testing cannot be performed and that should be denoted in the word doc and in each individual test.
    1. Use 'switch report' option if needed for header to be 'Test Plans Report'
    2. Filter on desired fix version or text to get to desired report
    3. Click Apply
    4. Click generate report
    5. Note total tests... passed in each environment is dependent on status of release
    6. Screen shot results table to apply to word doc
  3. Create the 'Test Runs Report'
    1. Use 'switch report' option if needed
    2. Change filter to desired test plan
    3. Click Apply
    4. Click generate report
    5. This is each execution that has occurred and shows title to better indicate what was tested.
