Use this article to create versions.  This article, when combined with Portfolio for Jira can be used to track multiple concurrent sprints (teams).

You must have Project Administrator permission to complete these steps.

Step-by-step guide

  1. In Jira, open  Project Settings
  2. In Project Settings, click on Versions
  3. Add the versions/releases as desired.


If you are planning to use Portfolio for Jira to track multiple Epic (teams) running concurrent sprints (teams), be sure to use well thought out naming convention for your versions and epics.  This is because in Portfolio, you will create a plan for each board (team filtered scrum boards) and then add the board (teams) to the project plan.  Refer to this Knowledge Base article for more details.
