I am having access issues logging into Kion.

  • If you are the environment owner, using ARS confirm that your userID is part of the project BillingAccess group.
    • If your userID is not part of the BillingAccess group,  add your userID to it and then log into Kion.
  • If you are not the environment owner, please contact your environment owner to be added to the appropriate billing group.

How do I find the Environment Owner?

  • Submit a General Service Request in CIO Central and assign to HS-ECM Operations – CIO Central

Why am I not realizing the actual Savings Opportunities identified after actions have been taken on recommendations?

  • Realizing actual Savings Opportunities is based on how closely you follow the recommendations. Also note that KION does not reflect the ECM EDP Discounts.

How do I access my AWS Account Savings Opportunities?

  • Using your standard Leidos credentials, log into Kion and navigate to Projects. Click on your Project and select Saving Opportunities.


Navigate to Projects and Click on your project.



Navigate to Savings Opportunities.


A list of recommended changes will be presented. To see detailed recommendations for individual resources, click the links. You will be provided with specific resource IDs, and recommended change details (including resizing or removal where appropriate).

How do I take action on a recommendation?

  • If you are a CIOS Managed Tenant, please submit a CIO Central ticket (Manage EC2 Instances for AWS).
  • If you are a non CIOS managed Tenant, you will have access to make the recommended changes yourself.
