Some products require admin privileges on windows to execute properly. For example, use of virtualbox and vagrant often requires elevated privilege access to create and start a virtual machine. This article describes how to request local admin access for your machine through Leidos CIO Central.

This article is NOT APPLICABLE (N/A) to GFE assets issued by DISA. This is for Leidos owned/controlled assets only.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Open a ticket with CIO Central using this link: https://ciocentral.leidos.com/sp_ldos?id=sc_cat_item&sys_id=669ca96f9da8a3000f21ad3b425cd2f9. Complete the form with all required details. This is easiest to accomplish if you use the machine and account that requires privileged access as some elements of the form will be automatically completed for you.
  2. Once the request for elevated privileges is approved, you will likely need Beyond Trust software installed to push privileges through applications like VirtualBox.
