We have tested our default SecDevOps project templates and they are suitable for most projects. In SecDevOps Jira, you can request custom Workflows, Roles, Screens, Fields, and Status for your project. You can either submit the customization on the original New Project request or you can request customization at any time.
Custom Workflows: SecDevOps provides a copy of the SecDevOps Default Workflow Scheme and associate it with your project. You can use the default status and create new transitions.
Custom Roles: SecDevOps provides a set of default roles, (project) Administrator, Contributor (Developers), and Read Only (Stakeholders). For most projects, these roles are sufficient. You can request a new Project Role if needed. Once the new project role has been created, you will be able to assign users to the role.
Custom Screen: SecDevOps provides a rich set of default screens that have been proven to be sufficient for most projects.
Custom Field: SecDevOps provides a the standard fields which have proven to be sufficient for most projects. You may request custom fields however you must provide the field name, field type, options (for checkboxes, radio buttons, selection lists), default values (if needed), which screens this custom field should appear on and the order it should appear in the screen. To reduce confusion, be prepared to provide sample screens for the custom fields in addition to the field details. It is also helpful to know which issue types would use this field; this will help narrow down which screens might need to be modified.
Custom Status: SecDevOps provides a rich set of status options in addition to the Jira standards. Status values are used in the Workflows. Please note, there is a significant difference between a Status and Resolution. Please refer to the Atlassian documentation for details.
