Step-by-step guide

The main thing to do here is run the APM workstation which can be started using Java Network Launch Protocol (JNLP) from a URL.

Pre-Requisites You must have Java 7 or later JDK installed. The JRE alone will not work. If you don't have the JDK installed, stop now:

  1. Open the java control panel (javacpl.exe inside the JRE).
  2. On the java control panel, open the Tab labeled "Security" at the top of the window.
  3. Make sure the checkbox is selected that says "Enable Java content for browser and Web Start applications.
  4. Click Apply
  5. Click Ok

  6. After you are sure java web start is enabled, you may run the workstation application using the following command from a command prompt.

     javaws http://gsmd-ag9-caapm.dcs.leidos.com:8081/workstation.jnlp

  7. Assuming the application is downloaded and launches, you'll be presented with the following dialog box
  8. Click the "Run" button on the dialog. Now you should see Introscope workstation login
  9. Use the hostname, port, and User Name already supplied in the dialog box.
  10. Password is "admin" all lowercase. Enter the password and click the "Connect" button
  11. The application will now login to the gsmd-ag9-caapm server and open the workstation console.
